


Sacred Pregnancy

***Notes from my pregnancy***
As I am living my first pregnancy, I am keeping track of my experience and I am wishing as well to note down all that can help another pregnant woman out there...
i am very much in touch with my own wisdom, i know very well my own body and all my healing way is serving me to be/meet equilibrium everyday... i do a lot of research as well, mostly in alternative sources of information ... but at times some "mainstream" things help as well...
so here are the first thoughts/notes...
***food as medicine, as solution to many "pregnancy little problems as i'll call them here...":
**eat lots of fruits and vegetables for vitamins and minerals and for a good digestion
**drink pineapple juice for helping achieve good daily evacuation ( and do not panic if there are some days you don't evacuate... baby needs a lot)
**lots of iron everyday: vegetarian sources:
*spinach, quinoa, lentil, kale, rucula salad, sesame, chickpeas, dried fruits ( raisins, apricots, figs...), potatoes...nuts...blueberries...
*from animal origin: egg, fish, meet-
to help the system integrate better the iron from veggie source: drink/eat everyday citrus fruits: orange, lemon, grapefruit-
*red fruits and all red food for helping the blood flow ( blood flow is doubled when pregnant)
*raisins and grape juice for good circulation in the legs
*ginger: anti nausea
*ginseng: vitality
*banana, chocolate & lentil for magnesium; very important- chocolate is seen as food of the gods in ancient culture (central america)- it nurtures also the teeth... and you need to look out for your teeth whilst being pregnant...
*eat fish for helping your skin's elasticity ( for helping when belly grows ) and for your brain...
*the eggs are as well highly beneficient for the brain ... as are some of the nuts...
even if you are vegetarian ( as I am/was before being pregnant), it is a really good idea to follow your gut feeling/intuition/desire even if it is outside of your normal way of eating... it is innate wisdom talking for the best of you and of your baby... i know it can be shocking to eat animal products when not accustomed to, but if eating in full consciousness and thankfulness i think it is ok-
if not, always follow your intuitions, what your body is communicating... and follow what comes into your dreams
( i get food/food cravings coming into my dreams, that appear as what the baby and my system need next..)
and so in this way you might be able to just be all really fine all by yourself without any supplements, etc...
If going for supplements, i recommend spirulina ...
I also recommend trying out reishi mushroom ( that i have discovered post partum only)...
***keep intimate and in a sacred space/place... it is good to seek information and support and talk and receive a lot of advice but afterwards it is really necessary to go back into the center, into your own private being and establish there a beautiful unique connection with your needs and your baby...
***to place yourself in the heart, say without shame to the partner what you need and as he/she is looking out for you, it is good too to look out for him/her, to give him/her full attention as well so that it doesn't just go one way ( and he/she doesn't feel abandoned or tired)... but when you are receiving, let yourself be fully loved :)...
it is a time when we should be fully surrounded by love but when it isn't there, it is of top priority to give yourself that love...
& that your partner and-MOSTLY- yourself caress as often as possible the belly...
and speak and sing to the baby and to the baby soul...
let the love grow and overcome any fear/stress regarding baby and all baby issues... let love guide the way and cry when you need to, nurture yourself, your home, your loved one... open the space to receive, truly receive your baby with trust beauty and delight...
***equilibrium: rest/move, yoga/dance ( belly dance: originally made for training pregnant women for the birth moment... so it is good to get some moves from there and do some hip spiral movements... to prepare the body, to flow in this area), singing/music/silence, meditation/ let go, release/create, do nothing/advancing, just being.... go slow... make the most out of this sacred time... i advise as little as possible work and/or computer activity especially in the first trimester as it can be a most intense time ( of integration of the baby life within)...
***manage your emotions- it is good to express them and flow with them , however it is good once they have been enough felt/lived to tell them ( the emotions) that ok, now is the time to move on and be strong... otherwise they might overwhelm you and you might become just oo vulnerable to handle aything... think of your baby, he will want a strong mama :)... it is just as mentionned above, a delicated balance between vulnerability and strength... it is just a little reminder to not get "eaten" by the emotions... to live them yes because it is necessary not to reject them and to live the depth of the experience ( to be pregnanT is such a deep deep experience!!) but it is also necessary for your spirit to regain freedom and detachment in some sense... to regain joy...:)
***plants: highly recommended:
for skin ( pregnant women acne problems and for belly growth to avoid stretch marks): aloe vera ( and it helps for feeling lighter legs...)
for anti stress, calm, transformation: lavender, essential oil and the plant/flower itself.
***lots of time and connection in nature: totally and completly necessary, smoothing, nurturing, relaxing... feelings of oneness, of peace and mystical connections...
***trust your body, trust your baby***
***the big ball used for pregnant women: it really helps the nerves, the back, the legs, the hips... anti stress therapy :)
***connect to your guides of light and source of light and goddess...angels, fairies, etc... now it is even more important than any time before... a new life is being created within you, a cosmic miraculous incredible event is happening and these connections/supports are essential and will guide you to real wisdom and serenity- go away from the fear into the trust and the flow...
***dolphin music and dolphin guidance: importance of the water element!!! take many showers, baths,... river baths, feet baths, sea moments...etc..
***reiki session for balancing the body, emotions, chakras and so hormones... most especially in the solar plexus and throat chakra*
***live, experience, know and don't run away from the depth of this incredible experience... so much that goes on is just beyond words and descriptions... dive into the sacred feminine mystery... no fear of depth, just riding the waves...
***to keep wild, to keep breathing, to trust the new rhythm...listen to the intuition, it is at its highest... listen to dream messages...
